Typewriter , Rare 1963 Pink Olivetti 22

The Olivetti Lettera 22 was designed in Italy in 1950 by Marcello Nizzoli and proved to be extremely popular throughout the 1950's winning numerous design awards . It was very portable for the time as it measures 30 cms x 30 cms x 8 cms high . This one is in a fabulous and original salmon pink enamel colour making it rare and highly sought after  .It has charcoal keys , space bar and carriage knobs and was made in the Olivetti Glasgow factory in Scotland .

It works and types well and is in a good condition with just some minor marks , mainly at the front left and right hand corners and the front corners where the  ribbon cover joins. We have given it a clean ,service, adjusted and tested  it and fitted a new ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on !

Group 4 typewriter ribbons can be purchased from many online suppliers or we can supply you with new ribbons when required . They generally cost around $12.50 including  postage . However a ribbon will last you a long time . To give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months

It comes with a standard Olivetti carry case which does have some discolouration and marks on both the inside and outside . There are 2 zips and two handles which all work well . We also include a photocopy of an original Lettera 22 instruction manual with a run down of all its features and some typing tips .

This is a very nice working Lettura 22 in a fabulous and rare colour and with a service and new ribbon is already for you to take out of the box and start typing on !
