This is a lovely two tone airforce blue and dark creme coloured Imperial 220 typewriter made by Litton Industries in Japan in the 1970's .It has off white coloured keys and contrast trim with red carriage knobs . It's in full working order and types well . We have given it a clean ,service , adjusted and tested it and fitted a new ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on .This one has the slightly larger "Pica" sized font giving you 10 letters to the inch.
Group 9 typewriter ribbons can be purchased from us when required . They cost $12.50 including postage and are available in plain black , mid blue . purple or red/black. A ribbon will last you a long time . To give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months.
There are some very minor marks on this typewriter and some very slight discolouration to a few of the keys , but generally it is in a very good condition .There is the Imperial badge and logo on the front right side and on the carriage . It comes with a matching blue plastic case which clips down over the top of the typewriter and provides you with a handle . The case is also in a nice condition with just a few marks and some discolouration and scratches in places mainly on the outside. The handle and clips to close work well.
The typewriter measures 30cms by 31 cms by 9 cms , so is a good compact size. We also include a photo copy of an original instruction booklet.
This is a good working portable typewriter in a nice colour and condition .
