Typewriter, Remington Remette Portable

 This is a lovely Remington Remette portable typewriter in a matt black colour with a crinkle paint finish and black keys with vintage creme coloured letters and numbers. This typewriter was made in Canada in the late 1930's/ early 40's and has in gold the Remington logo on the carriage, the Remette logo on the front and Made in Canada on the front right with a Union Jack and "British Empire Product " going around it. The Remette models were small, fairly simple machines with basic features that did not include for a bell and you can only use a one colour ribbon. This one has the slightly larger Pica sized typeface giving you 10 letters to the inch.

It is in full working order and we have given it a professional clean, service and fitted a new  quality American made ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on. For replacement ribbon you just need to rewind new ribbon onto the metal remington spools that are in the typewriter. We can supply new black ribbon or other colour options on Universal spools from $13.95.

There are some very small marks to the paintwork, but generally it is a wonderful condition.  It measures 25 cm  by 28 cm and is 9 cm high.

It comes with it's original carry case which is also in a good condition with sound leather handle and closure clips.

We also include a copy of an original Remington Remette manual.
