This is a lovely working Royal Diana model portable in a green/silver colour and was made in Holland by McBee's in the late 1950's.Royal took over McBee's in the mid 50's . It has green tomb stone shaped keys with white letters and numbers , which are all in a nice condition . This one comes with the standard Royal magic margin feature and has the Royal logo in silver on the front right side , the Diana logo on the carriage and manufactures details under the ribbon cover . The paintwork to the all metal body and silver chrome work is in a very good condition with just a few marks mainly on the front edges by the space bar and on the left side of the ribbon cover where the carriage lever has rubbed over the years.
It measures 29 cms wide x 30 cms deep x 14 cms high.
We have given it a clean, service ,adjusted and tested it as well as fitting a black ribbon , so its all ready for you to start typing on .
GR 1 typewriter ribbons can be purchased from many online suppliers or we can supply you with new ribbons when required . They generally cost around $10 including postage . However a ribbon will last you a long time . To give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months
There is a tan coloured vinyl case which is in a functional condition but does have signs of wear and marks to the inside and outside .The handle and clasp work well and although the zips do work the zips have come away from the edge of the case in one small section . We also include a photo copy of its original instruction manual.
This is a wonderful working late 1950's "Madmen " style typewriter .
