A rare two tone red coloured working Olivetti Dora typewriter from the 1970's and made in Spain . The Olivetti Dora was designed by Ettore Sottsass who also designed the Olivetti Valentine so there are a lot of similarities in style between the Dora and Valentine. It has the Olivetti Dora logo on the ribbon cover and types well with a nice easy touch and has the slightly larger " Pica " sized font giving you 10 letters to the inch. There are also a couple of accented keys on this one.
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned ,serviced, adjusted and tested . It is in full working order and is fitted with a new Group 4 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on !
We can supply Group 4 typewriter ribbons from $12.50 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of Universal ribbons in other colour options. A ribbon will last you a long time and to give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months .
We also include a two page photocopy of an original instruction card .The red plastic body is in a good general condition with just some light surface scratches and discolouration in places ,mainly on the ribbon cover . It comes with the standard Olivetti black coloured vinyl case which is functional and provides you with a handle to carry it but does show age signs of wear. There are some marks and discolouration and it has been taped at the back on both the inside and the outside.
The typewriter measures 29 cms across by 33 cms deep and is 8.5 cms high .
This is a good working Olivetti Dora typewriter in a wonderful and rare colour with a nice easy typing action.
