Multicoloured Silver Reed

$0.00 AUD

Lovely portable Silver Reed typewriter in full working order transformed by us into a multi coloured machine with black keys and trim to create a bit of a one off. Perhaps not for the purist but it will surely bring a smile to someone.

This one was made in Japan in the 1970's by Silver Seiko and types very well. It has the more standard smaller sized "Elite " typeface giving you 12 letters to the inch.

This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made Group 9 TW1 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

We can supply Group 9 TW1 typewriter ribbons from $13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of Universal ribbons in other colour options.

The typewriter is in a good overall condition with a few very small marks to the metal body mainly low down at the sides, on the left hand side of the ribbon cover and on the underneath. It comes with a hard black plastic carry case that fits down over the typewriter and clips on to provide you with a handle. We include a photo copy of an original instruction booklet .

This Silver Reed measures 28 cm x 30 cm and is 8 cm high. This is a nice retro working typewriter in a one off colour combination and is already to just take out of the box and start typing on.

"My Olivetti arrived a couple days ago. Got a chance to test it out and it works like a dream (you wouldn’t guess it was nearly half a century old). Thank you for including the original metal spools, it adds a great touch to the machine. Looking forward to adding another typewriter to the collection sometime soon..." - Jake
