A fabulous shiny black enamel Everest Mod 90 typewriter in full working order made in Italy in 1949. Everest was the main competitor to Olivetti in Italy at the time before eventually being taken over by Olivetti. It has the traditional glass topped keys with silver chrome surrounds and the letters and numbers in vintage creme on black. There is some wear to some of the chrome work on some of the keys. It has the lovely Everest logo on the right side of the carriage and the Mod 90 logo at the front. Please note there is some reflection on the typewriter from the map behind in some of our images.
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new top quality American made Universal black ribbon so it's ready for you to start typing.
We can supply Universal typewriter ribbons when required from $13.90 each including postage. You would then rewind the new ribbon onto the existing metal spools.
This Mod 90 is in a good condition for it's age and has a black enamel finish to the metal body. There are a few very small marks and signs of paint touch ups mainly on the ribbon cover edges and corners. This one has the standard "elite" sized type face giving you 11 letters to the inch.
The typewriter comes with a case which is in a good functional condition with a working handle and closure fitting but does show signs of age related wear and has marks on both the inside and outside as well as wear to the chrome work. The original leatherette covering on the top main top part of the case is missing and the wooden case has at some point been painted black.
The typewriter measures 32 cm by 30 cm by 13 cm high. We include a photocopy of an original Everest Mod 90 manual.
Everest typewriters are now highly collectable and this is a lovely working classic black enamel typewriter with glass topped keys in a nice condition and ready to start typing on.
