The British Typewriter Co was started in the mid 1930's in West Bromwich by Bill Mawle, a famous and decorated 1st world war flying ace when he bought the rights to the Hermes Baby typewriter from Palliard in Switzerland. The Baby Empire and the Empire Aristocrat brand names were used in the UK for many years with the small designed Hermes Baby / Empire Aristocrat having a loyal following.

This vintage inspired design features the distinctive Empire Aristocrat logo in red with the lion. This Tote bag is not only a lovely design for the fan of the Empire range of typewriters but is also perfect for any " Empire Aristocrats " that you know.
