$0.00 AUD

This is one of the later Hermes 3000 models made in 1974 in France when Palliard took over the Japy typewriter business. It comes in an off white colour with matching keys ,space bar and carriage knobs . They have a good reputation as wonderfully engineered and made machines with a lighter typing touch .This one is in full working order and types very well . It has the standard sized "Elite" type giving you 12 letters to the inch.

This typewriter has been professionally serviced , cleaned , adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new Group 9 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on !

We can supply Group 9 typewriter ribbons from $12.50 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black, purple.and a range of Universal ribbons in other colour options. A ribbon will last you a long time and to give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months.

It is in an extremely good general condition with just a couple of very small marks to the hard plastic body , mainly on the top left hand side of the ribbon cover .  It comes with a copy of the original instruction booklet showing all its features and giving tips such as changing the ribbon and setting the margins  . The body of the typewriter  measures 32 cms by 35 cms by 14 cms high .

This Hermes 3000 comes with a lid which fits down over the typewriter and provides you with a handle . The carry case lid is also in a very good condition with just some discolouration and a few small marks. The clips to close and the handle work well.

This is a lovely working typewriter in a very nice condition .

"My Olivetti arrived a couple days ago. Got a chance to test it out and it works like a dream (you wouldn’t guess it was nearly half a century old). Thank you for including the original metal spools, it adds a great touch to the machine. Looking forward to adding another typewriter to the collection sometime soon..." - Jake
