A lovely 1957 olive green coloured Olympia SM 2 typewriter with dark green keys, space bar and carriage knobs. Olympia was a German brand of typewriter that was known for their great quality and ease of use. This one types in the slightly larger Olympia "pica" size of type face giving you 10 letters to the inch.
The typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new top quality American made plain black Universal ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.
The SM 2 's are all metal and beautifully engineered machines giving you a great typing performance and made in West Germany. This one is in a nice condition with just a few very minor marks to the paintwork mainly on the top back edge of the carriage. It has the Olympia logo in silver on the right side of the ribbon cover and the manufacturers details on the back.
It comes with a copy of the manual.

This model comes with it's original wooden carry case which has been re painted and is totally functional with working interior clips, closure fitting and handle. There are some signs of wear on both the inside and outside.
This SM2 is classed as a portable but is quite heavy and if you are wanting something to carry around a fair bit this may not be the best option, but if you want a well made and solid machine which is a nice typer then this is one to consider.
