1956 Remington Travel-Riter

$0.00 AUD

Lovely Remington Travel-Riter typewriter in a matt grey colour with dark green keys, space bar and carriage knobs. It's in a good working condition and was made in Holland in 1956 and is an all metal model. It has the Remington and Travel Riter logo's on the front and on the carriage. This one has the slightly larger  "pica" sized type face giving you 10 letters to the inch.

This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

We can supply new Universal TW38 typewriter ribbons from $13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of other colour options. You just then need to rewind the new ribbon onto the existing small silver metal rings that are in the typewriter.

There are some minor marks and discolouration to the body paintwork mainly on the right hand end of the carriage, but it is generally in a good condition for it's age.

It comes with a wooden carry case with covering which is also in a very good functional condition. There are small signs of wear, marks and discolouration to the case on both the outside and the inside, but the handle is sound and the metal closure works well.

We also include a photo copy of an instruction booklet for this Remington Travel-riter model which shows all the features and shows you how to change the ribbon.

The typewriter measures 28 cm wide by 30 cm deep and is 12 cm high. This is a nice 50's Remington working typewriter.

"My Olivetti arrived a couple days ago. Got a chance to test it out and it works like a dream (you wouldn’t guess it was nearly half a century old). Thank you for including the original metal spools, it adds a great touch to the machine. Looking forward to adding another typewriter to the collection sometime soon..." - Jake
