1955 Smith Corona Clipper

$0.00 AUD

This is a wonderful Smith Corona 5 series Clipper typewriter in a good working order and has a nice typing action. It was made in Belgium in 1955 and has an all metal body in a grey/green colour with dark green keys and carriage knobs. It has the Smith Corona logo to the front and on the back (slightly faded) the Clipper logo and this model has the standard Elite sized type face giving you 12 letters to the inch. There are some minor marks and discolouration to the paintwork mainly on the right hand end of the carriage and the front left corner.

This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

We can supply Group Universal typewriter ribbons from $13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of other colour options. You would then rewind on the metal Smith Corona spools in the machine.

It comes with a smart wooden case with a covering. The typewriter locks in place for transit and it has a sound external catch, handle and key for the lock. The case is in a good functional condition with just some age related signs of wear mainly on the outside.

The typewriter measures 30 cm x 32 cm x 12 cm. We also include a photo copy of an original instruction booklet.

This is a good working typewriter in a nice condition with a classic 50's styling.

"My Olivetti arrived a couple days ago. Got a chance to test it out and it works like a dream (you wouldn’t guess it was nearly half a century old). Thank you for including the original metal spools, it adds a great touch to the machine. Looking forward to adding another typewriter to the collection sometime soon..." - Jake
