This is a lovely 1952 portable Remington Model 5 typewriter in a matt grey/green colour with a crinkle paint finish and round black keys and was made in Great Britain. It has the Remington logo in silver on the front , Remington Rand logo on the carriage as well as the manufacturing details on the back. This one has the slightly larger "pica" sized type face giving you 10 letters to the inch.
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in a good working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on. We also include a photo copy of a Remington instruction manual.
Universal TW38 typewriter ribbons can be purchased from us from $13.90 including postage. You can purchase any manual typewriter ribbon for this machine and rewind the new ribbon onto its original metal spools. You can use two tone red and black ribbons on this machine as well as other colour options.
There are some very small marks to the paintwork and some minor discolouration in places, but generally it is in a very nice condition. It types well and has its original metal spools. The silver chrome work is also in a good condition and the typewriter measures 27cm by 30 cm and is 13 cm high.
It comes with its original wooden carry case with black covering which is also in a generally good condition with some small age related signs of wear. The handle and closures are sound.
This is a lovely 50's Remington "Streamlined" working typewriter in a great condition for its age with a nice typing action.
