This Royal portable Model O was made in the US in 1938 and is in a lovely shiny black enamel colour. It has the old classic style glass topped keys with silver chrome surrounds in a black colour with vintage dark creme coloured letters and numbers. These are all in a very good condition. This one has the standard "elite" type face size so types with 12 letters to the inch. Please also note that in some of our images there is some reflection of the map from behind on the black enamel of the typewriter.
It has the Royal logo on the carriage and the front as well as the Royal logo and manufacturers patients details on the back. The silver chrome work is also in a nice functional condition although now a little faded in some places.
Its a very nice compact size being 27 cm wide x 28 cm deep x 11 cm high.
This typewriter has been professionally serviced, cleaned, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.
We can supply top quality American made Group 9 TW1 typewriter ribbons from $13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and in a range of other colour options in a Universal spool. You can drop the plastic spools into the typewriter or rewind the new ribbon onto the metal ones in the typewriter currently.
It is in a very good condition for its age with only a few very minor marks and signs of wear and touch ups to the paintwork, mainly at the front edges.
There is a wooden carry case with leatherette covering which is also in a good functional condition with some general marks and signs of wear. It has a working metal clasp closure and the original handle which is sound. You can keep the typewriter on it's base board or take it off by sliding the 4 clips to unlock the feet.
This is a highly collectable good working 1938 vintage typewriter in a classic black enamel colour with glass topped keys and would make a wonderful and special gift. We also include a copy of an original manual.
