This wonderful Royal de Luxe portable was made in the US in 1938 and is in a charcoal black colour with a slight "crinkle " finish.It has a lovely art deco style silver chrome trim of two bands going horizontally around it at the base and just below the ribbon cover.I t is in a very good condition for its age with only a few very minor marks and signs of wear to the paintwork and the chrome work and has the old classic style glass topped keys with silver chrome surrounds in a black colour with vintage cream coloured numbers and letters. These are all in a very good condition. It has the Royal de Luxe logo on the carriage in silver and this one has the slightly larger Pica type face so types with 10 letters to the inch.
Its a very nice compact size being 27 cm wide x 28 cm deep x 12 cm high.
This typewriter has been professionally serviced, cleaned, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new top quality American made Group 9 ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

There is a wooden carry case with black leatherette covering which is also in a very good condition for its age with just a few minor marks and signs of wear. It has a two metal closures and a handle which are both sound. You can keep the typewriter on it's base board or take it off by sliding the 4 clips to unlock the feet.
We also include a copy of an original manual for a slightly later Royal de Luxe model, but one that has many similar features.
