This model P Royal portable was made in the US in 1930 and is in a wonderful shiny black enamel colour. It has the old classic style glass topped keys with silver chrome surrounds in a vintage off white colour with black coloured letters and numbers. These are all in a very nice condition with just the slight age signs of discolouration to a few. This Royal typewriter has the slightly larger " Pica " type face size so types with 10 letters to the inch as well as a few accented keys.
Please note that in some of our images there is some reflection of the map from behind on the black enamel of the typewriter.
It has the Royal logo on the carriage as well as the Royal logo and manufacturers patients details on the back. The black gloss paint has a few small marks and scratches, but is generally in an excellent condition as is the silver chrome work.
Its a very nice compact size being 27 cm wide x 28 cm deep x 11 cm high.
This typewriter has been professionally serviced, cleaned, adjusted and tested with new round feet fitted. It is in full working order and fitted with a new top quality American made plain black ribbon on metal spools so its all ready for you to start typing on.
We can supply Group 9 typewriter ribbons from $13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of universal ribbons in other colour options . You can either rewind the new ribbon onto the metal spools currently in the typewriter or drop in the new Group 9 spools and ribbon.
There is a wooden carry case with a leatherette covering which is also in a very good functional condition with some small general marks and signs of wear. It has a working metal brass clasps and we have fitted a new leather handle.
This is a highly collectable 1930's vintage typewriter in a good working condition with classic black enamel colour and glass topped keys and would make a wonderful and special gift. We also include a copy of an original general Royal Portable manual.
