This Royal P portable was made in the US in 1927 and is in a lovely shiny black enamel colour. It has the old classic style glass topped keys with silver chrome surrounds in a vintage creme colour with black coloured numbers and letters. These are all in a very good condition with just some minor discolouration. This one has the slightly larger " Pica" sized type face giving you 10 letters to the inch.
It has the Royal logo in gold on the carriage and on the front left and the Royal logo and manufacturers patients details on the back and comes with two metal spools. The silver chrome work is also in a nice condition.
The typewriter is in full working order, types well and we have given it a clean, professional service, adjusted and tested it as well as fitting a new top quality American made ribbon, so its all ready for you to start typing on. Its a very nice compact size being 27 cm wide x 28 cm deep x 11 cm high.
It is in a good condition for its age with only a few very minor marks and signs of wear to the paintwork, mainly on the top of the carriage.
We can supply Group 9 typewriter ribbons from £13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of Universal ribbons in other colour options. You would then just rewind the new ribbon onto the existing metal spools.
It comes with its original wooden carry case with black covering which is also in a good functional condition for its age. It has it's original leather handle and the closure fitting works well. The case does have marks and signs of wear on both the inside and the outside.
We also include a copy of an original manual .
This is a stunning 1920's Royal portable typewriter with glass topped keys in a good working order and a lovely condition for it's age.
