Rare 1930 Blue Royal Portable

This model P Royal portable was made in the US in 1930 and is in a wonderful and rare blue colour with the "Alligator" finish. It has the old classic style glass topped keys with silver chrome surrounds in a vintage white colour with black coloured letters and numbers. These are all in a very nice condition with just the slight age signs of discolouration to a few. This Royal typewriter has the standard "elite" type face size so types with 12 letters to the inch as well as having a few accented keys. There is fractional wear to the lowercase "e" on the type head.

It has the Royal logo on the carriage as well as the Royal logo and manufacturers patients details on the front edge and on the back. The blue paint has some small marks and signs of wear and discolouration, mainly on the front bottom edges and on the top front corners as well as on the right hand side.

Its a very nice compact size being 27 cm wide x 28 cm deep x 11 cm high.

This typewriter has been professionally serviced, cleaned, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and fitted with a new top quality American made plain black ribbon on metal spools so its all ready for you to start typing on. 

We can supply Group 9 typewriter ribbons from $13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of universal ribbons in other colour options. You can either rewind the new ribbon onto the metal spools currently in the typewriter or drop in the new Group 9 spools and ribbon. 

There is no carry case with this one.

This is a highly collectable 1930's vintage typewriter in a good working condition for its age and in a rare colour with glass topped keys and would make a wonderful and special gift. We also include a copy of an original general Royal Portable manual.
