The Olivetti Lettera 22 was designed in Italy in 1950 by Marcello Nizzoli and proved to be extremely popular throughout the 1950's winning numerous design awards. This is the Deluxe Lettera model ( Lettera 33) which was made over just a few years from 1966 and is rarer as it did not have anything like the same production run as the 22 or 32 models. This one was made in Italy and is in a very stylish black leatherette with a silver trim, black keys and carriage knobs. It has the Olivetti Lettera DL logo on the right hand side of the ribbon cover and has the standard "elite" type face giving you 12 letters to the inch.
It works and types very well with a nice easy touch and is in a good overall condition with only a few marks or blemishes mainly at the back right hand corner and at the left hand end of the carriage.
This typewriter has been professionally serviced, cleaned, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order with a new top quality American made black ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

It comes with it's original carry case which has a smart dark red exterior and two zips to close. There is some small marks and signs of wear on the interior lining.
