This is a wonderful Smith Corona 5 series Clipper typewriter in a good working order and has a nice typing action. It was made in Belgium in 1955 and has an all metal body in an elephant grey colour with dark green keys and carriage knobs. It has the Smith Corona logo to the front and the Clipper logo on the carriage. This model has the slightly larger sized type face giving you 10 letters to the inch. There are some minor marks and discolouration to the paintwork mainly on the right hand end of the carriage and the left side of the ribbon cover.
This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.
We can supply Group Universal typewriter ribbons from $13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of other colour options. You would then rewind on the metal spools in the machine.
It comes with it's original wooden case with a covering. The typewriter locks in place for transit and it has a sound external catch andhandle. The case is in a good functional condition but does have some age related signs of wear to the covering on the outside, mainly at the corners and the underneath.
The typewriter measures 30 cm x 32 cm x 12 cm. We also include a photo copy of an original instruction booklet.
This is a good working typewriter in a nice condition with a classic 50's styling.
