Typewriter, 1962 Imperial No 7

 Imperial typewriters were made in Leicester in England and the Good Companion model was first launched in 1932.It was named after J. B. Priestley's book "The Good Companions" which had been published at the same time and the collaboration with Priestley helped sell a huge number of Imperial typewriters.

This model is a number 7 and was made in 1962 in England and has a two tone green and off white colour with black keys and creme shift keys, carriage knobs and space bar.It has " Manufactured by the Imperial Typewriter Company Ltd Leicester England " on the back and the Imperial Good Companion logo at the front.

There are a few very minor marks and scratches to the body of the typewriter, mainly on the right hand side of the ribbon cover, but generally this typewriter is in a very good condition.The silver chrome work is also good and It types well.This one has the standard "elite" sized font giving you 12 letters to the inch.

 This typewriter has been professionally cleaned, serviced , adjusted and tested.It is in full working order and fitted with a new black and red ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on.

It comes with it's original fibreglass carry case which is also in a good general condition with just some minor marks and discolouration in places on both the outside and inside.The metal closure and handle both work well.There are two sliver buttons on each side of the typewriter which release it from the inside base .We also include a copy of an original Model 7 instruction booklet.

 The typewriter measures 28cm by 30 cm by 11 cm high.

This is a wonderful 1960's style typewriter in a nice condition and in good working order.
