GR 1 typewriter ribbons can be purchased from many online suppliers or we can supply you with new ribbons when required . They generally cost around $10 including postage . A ribbon will last you a long time . To give you an idea , in an office environment with someone using a typewriter professionally a ribbon would last them around 3 months .
This Mod 90 is in an extremely good condition and has a black enamel finish to the metal body . There are a few very small marks and signs of wear , mainly on the front bar. It has the traditional glass topped keys with silver chrome surrounds and the letters and numbers in vintage creme on black . The silver chrome work is also in a very good condition . It has the lovely Everest logo on the right side of the carriage with "Made in Italy " just underneath it and the Mod 90 logo at the front . It has the serial number 178464 dating it to 1951. Please note there is some reflection on the typewriter from the map behind in some of our images.
The typewriter comes with an original case which is in a fair general condition with both the wooden structure and the covering of the case in a functional order but showing some signs of wear for its age. It now doesn't have the original leather handle , but we have fitted a substitute handle . The metal clasp to close shows some wear but does work .
The typewriter measures 32 cms by 30 cms by 13 cms high .
Everest typewriters are now highly collectable and this is a lovely working classic black enamel typewriter with glass topped keys in a wonderful condition and ready to start typing on .
