Typewriter, Antares P59 Little Star

$875.00 AUD

Lovely working Antares P59 "Little Star" typewriter from the early 1960's in a fabulous Eau de Nil green colour with black coloured keys, space bar and carriage knobs. Made in Milan in Italy, Antares was a small typewriter maker that started production in 1954 and ended production in Italy in the mid 1960's and had various combined projects with Olivetti. This one has the Antares logo on the top left and the the Made in Italy logo on the back and has the slightly larger "pica" type face giving you 10 letters to the inch.

It types well and is in a good condition for its age with just a few marks to the paintwork on the metal body mainly at the right hand side of the ribbon cover. We have given it a professional service, adjusted and tested it and fitted a new top quality American made black ribbon so its all ready for you to type on.

We can supply Group 9 TW1 typewriter ribbons from $14.95 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of Universal ribbons in other colour options.

The typewriter measures 30 cm across by 30 cm deep and is 7 cm high , so is a very nice sleek and compact design.

It comes with its original carry case lid which has a working handle. The case has some age related marks to the outside.

This is a relatively rare and collectable portable working typewriter, which is in a very nice condition and a rarer colour.

"My Olivetti arrived a couple days ago. Got a chance to test it out and it works like a dream (you wouldn’t guess it was nearly half a century old). Thank you for including the original metal spools, it adds a great touch to the machine. Looking forward to adding another typewriter to the collection sometime soon..." - Jake
