Typewriter, 1967 Olympia SM8

A lovely two tone off white and dark grey coloured Olympia SM 8 typewriter with pale cream keys, space bar and mint green shift keys and carriage knobs. Olympia was a German brand of typewriter that was known for their great quality and ease of use and this one was made in West Germany in 1967. It has the Olympia logo on the front and has been professionally cleaned, serviced, adjusted and tested. It is in full working order and is fitted with a new top quality American made Universal ribbon so its all ready for you to start typing on. This one has the slightly larger "pica" size typeface giving you 10 letters to the inch.

We can supply Universal TW38 typewriter ribbons from $13.90 each including postage. Available in plain black, red/black and a range of other colour options.

This model has a metal casing and the whole front section lifts up to access the ribbon. The SM portables have a reputation as being "the writers " typewriter and this one certainly types very nicely. The metal casing is in a very nice condition with just a few small marks mainly on the left hand side of the ribbon cover. The typewriter measures 30 cm by 32 cm by 14 cm high.

It comes with a standard Olympia two tone creme and grey carry case which is also in a good functional condition with just some small marks and signs of wear. The handle and latch to close work well.

We include a copy of an instruction manual. All in all this is a good working Olympia in a lovely condition.

Delivery from out UK workrooms directly to you anywhere within Australia is included in the price. You just need to allow 5-7 working days for the delivery.
